KEEPING YOUR INSTALL LOOKING GREAT FOR YEARS TO COME

Cleaning your cabinets

Your cabinets have been finished with a water based coating, which provides long lasting protection against damage and average wear and tear. This is one of the most durable finishes available and requires very little effort to keep clean.

We do advise clients to use the knobs and pulls to open the cabinet doors. Finger nails and the natural oils from skin can damage the finish making the coating more prone to wear and tear.

How to Clean

Wipe down cabinet surfaces with a soft cloth in a mild solution of water and vinegar OR a mild dish soap and water. To avoid water marks from forming, be sure to wipe the surface dry after every cleaning. Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance of your cabinets.

When cleaning your cabinets, be sure to avoid the following:

  • Cream cleansers or product that contains abrasives, as they can scratch the surface and dull the finish.
  • Solvent based cleaners
  • Bleach
  • Waxes
  • Pledge or any other product design for untreated wood as they can alter the sheen and make the finish dull, shiny or uneven.

Care and cleaning of laminate countertops

In the majority of cases, you can clean your laminate counter with a clean, damp, non-abrasive cotton cloth and a mild liquid detergent or household cleaner. Rinse with clean water but do not use excess water, especially near miter joints. Dry the surface with a soft, non- abrasive cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, powders, steel wool, sand paper or scouring pads on the laminate surface.

Hot Objects: Do not place hot objects directly on the countertop. Electric skillets, waffle irons, curling irons, hot rollers etc. can damage the surface. Do not iron or place iron on laminate surface.

Care and cleaning of quartz countertops

Clean surfaces with soap and water regularly to maintain the gloss and sheen. Make sure to use water, a damp cloth and a small amount of a non-abrasive cleaner that does not contain bleach.

Matte or leather finishes will more easily show signs of daily use. As a result, the finish will require more frequent cleaning and daily maintenance than polished finishes.

Although quartz is stain resistant, spills should be cleaned as soon as possible. Liquid spills and stains from fruits, vegetables or other foods should be immediately cleaned with soap and water.
