While a site measure will be completed by us prior to any cabinetry going into production, we recommend forwarding completed floor plans (new build) or sketching a floor plan (renovation to an existing space) to begin the planning process.

Measurements: If your project is a new build, or you have the dimensioned plans of the space, those plans will be sufficient.

How To Measure Guide:

1. Gather three items: paper, metal measuring tape, and a pencil/pen.
2. Draw the shape of the room’s footprint to the best of your ability.
3. Measure the ceiling height - write it on the side.
4. Measure each of the room’s walls, end to end, and write the measurement on the paper next to each of the walls.
5. Draw on each wall where there is an opening (like a door or window).
6. Measure each of those openings from the outside to the outside of the trim around it. Both height and width. If it’s a window, measure from the floor to the top of the window sill.
7. Write where each door opening is leading to and what the windows are looking out at as this will influence the design of your kitchen.
8. Measure the wall space to the right and left of each of those openings. Write those measurements by the wall they refer to.
9. Please note any mechanical locations that will not change, for example: the sink plumbing.

Pictures:
Take pictures of your space, don’t hold back! We want to see everything. Title each picture with what it is showing. (For example: “wall to left of sink”)

Appliances
If you have your appliances picked out, please send the make and models with your plan. If not, the plans and pricing can always be tweaked once you have them selected.

Mechanical Locations
If remodeling, indicate whether you want to change appliance and/or sink locations in your space or if they need to remain in their existing locations.

Location
We will install anywhere within a one hour radius of Walkerton. When sending your plans, please let us know the town the project will be in.

We will contact you with your preliminary design & quote (average turnaround is 2 weeks) and ask if you’d like to set up a design centre appointment to discuss the details in person. We also offer virtual appointments via Google Meet to go over preliminary layouts and pricing.

A detailed copy of the design plans including all notes and dimensions are available for a fee (determined by size of project) which would then be taken off of your final invoice if the order is confirmed.
